Angel Studios, the company behind faith-based box office hits like Sound of Freedom and the hit TV series The Chosen, has launched a funding campaign for their upcoming film, OUT OF DARKNESS - the incredible true story that inspired STORMIE OMARTIAN’s best-selling book, The Power of a Praying Wife. Directed by Brittany Yost, the film is planned for theatrical release in March 2026.

About Brittany Yost: Brittany Yost (Director) is an award-winning director and PGA (Producers Guild of America) producer whose career in film began at the age of 19. Over 15 years, she has worked on more than 20 films in the faith space, including Redeeming Love, The Case for Christ, and The Blind. Brittany’s journey is defined by a deep commitment to telling stories that inspire change, particularly those surrounding difficult and often overlooked topics. Her work documenting the realities of sex trafficking across 13 countries, including living within a shelter for survivors, has given her a unique perspective on trauma and healing.

“In 2017, I was struggling with my mental health after moving across the country with my husband,” says Brittany. "Being isolated in a new city, far from friends and family, only heightened my anxiety and depression, and I wasn’t honest with anyone that I needed help.
