How do I receive the Gift of Salvation?

SALVATION IS A GIFT!

John 3:16

For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that

whosoever believes in him should not perish, but have eternal life.

The Bible says that every person has sinned and falls short of the glory of God (Romans 3:23). It is recorded in Genesis (2:4-3:24) that Adam and Eve died spiritually when they ate from the tree of The Knowledge of Good and Evil. So, the bad news is that every man or woman born into this world is dead spiritually. The Good News is God sent His Son Jesus Christ. Jesus came to convict the world of sin and to be the ultimate sacrifice for sin.

God forgave the entire world of sin through the sacrifice of His Son Jesus on the cross.

Jesus died, was buried, and was resurrected (1 Corinthians 15:1-7).

For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus Lord. Romans 6:23

Repent, then, and turn to God, so that your sins may be wiped out, that times of  refreshing may come from the Lord. Acts 3:19

God was reconciling the world to himself in Christ, not counting people’s sins against them.

And he has committed to us the message of reconciliation. 2 Corinthians 5:19

He is the atoning sacrifice for our sins, and not only for ours but also for the sins of the whole world. 1 John 2:2

God’s Son has all the brightness of God’s own glory and is like him in every way.

By his own mighty word, he holds the universe together. After the Son had washed away our sins,

he sat down at the right side of the glorious God in heaven. Hebrews 1:3

Since sin has been completely dealt with by Jesus (1 Peter 3:18, Romans 6:10), every person now has the opportunity to be “born again” and made alive (1 Peter 1:3). God’s Holy Spirit comes to live inside

of us and so resurrects us from the dead, spiritually (Galatians 2:20, Romans 8:11).

For since death came through a man, the resurrection of the dead comes also through a man.

For as in Adam all die, so in Christ all will be made alive. 1 Corinthians 15:21-22

Jesus said, “But I tell you I am going to do what is best for you. This is why I am going away. The Holy Spirit cannot come to help you until I leave. But after I am gone, I will send the Spirit to you.” John 16:7

And you also were included in Christ when you heard the message of truth, the gospel of your salvation.

When you believed, you were marked in him with a seal, the promised Holy Spirit. Ephesians 1:13

For we died and were buried with Christ by baptism. And just as Christ was raised from the dead

by the glorious power of the Father, now we also may live new lives. Since we have been united with

him in his death, we will also be raised to life as he was. Romans 6:4-5

Salvation is a gift (Romans 6:23) for anyone who calls on the Name of the Lord.

It is a gift of grace through faith (Ephesians 2:8), and it is an Eternal Life.

For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves;

it is the gift of God, not of works, lest anyone should boast. Ephesians 2:8-9

That if you confess with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that

God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.  For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified,

and it is with your mouth that you confess and are saved. Romans 10:9-10

Truly, truly, I say to you, whoever hears my word and believes him who sent me has eternal life.

He does not come into judgment, but has passed from death to life. John 5:24

Jesus said to her, “I am the resurrection and the life. He who believes in Me, though he may die, he shall live.

And whoever lives and believes in Me shall never die.” John 11:25-26

Here is a simple prayer you can pray to receive God’s gift of Salvation:

Dear God, I want to be a part of Your family. You said in Your Word that if I acknowledge that

You raised Jesus from the dead, and that I accept Him as my Lord and Savior, I will be saved.

So God, I now say that I believe You raised Jesus from the dead and that He is alive. I repent of my sin and I believe that all my sins were completely dealt with, by Jesus, on the cross. I accept the gift of

salvation and I receive Jesus as my personal Lord and Savior. Thank you for Your Holy Spirit coming to

live inside of me and giving me Your Eternal Life through Your Son Jesus Christ. Amen.

Congratulations! Your name is now written in The Lamb’s Book of Life! (Philippians 4:3, Luke 10:20). When you pass on from this life on earth, you will be welcomed into the Kingdom of Heaven. The gift of Salvation is an Eternal Life (John 3:16). Now, as a believer, you reside in The Tree of Life ( John 14:6, John 15:5), Who Is Jesus.

In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was with God in the beginning. Through him all things were made; without him nothing was made that has been made.

In him was life, and that life was the light of all mankind. John 1:1-4

We encourage you to tell others about becoming a believer in Jesus.

We encourage you to start going to a Bible believing church, so you can grow in your faith.

Welcome to the Family!
